New Charity Offering the Gift of a Wedding

A new charity has been launched in the North West of the UK to provide weddings to terminally ill brides and grooms.

Based in Manchester, 'Gift of a Wedding’, aims to fulfill dreams and create memories by gifting free weddings to people with a terminal or life shortening illness. Available to any UK resident, regardless of age, race, gender or religion, the charity provides unparalleled customer service, ensuring it continues to foster stronger relationships with both its patrons and partners locally and nationally.

Established in 2012 by Patricia Harrison, its founder and chair is an experience wedding planner having worked in the wedding industry for over 10 years. The idea came after Patricia offered her help to plan the wedding of a man aged 27 who was dying of brain cancer. After securing donations of goods and services valued at over £10,000.00 she made his and his bride’s dreams come true by gifting them both a beautiful wedding.
