The High Street Bride's Guide
Given that Brides Magazine has recently estimated that the average wedding costs just short of £25,000, we are pretty confident that anyone who is involved in paying for one could do with some pointers on how to make those £££'s go further.
Well, we were lucky enough to have a copy of The High Street Bride's Guide drop on our doorstep a couple of weeks ago and haven't been able to put it down since!
Penned by Samantha Birch who has previously written for Brides, Glamour, You & Your Wedding and Cosmopolitan Bride, she certainly knows her stuff! This book offers brides to be planning their wedding, insider hints, tips and tricks on how to get more "bang for your buck". By drawing on experience from planning her own wedding and her many years working within the industry, Samantha will guide you on how to by savvy, organised and more open-minded.
Divided into chapters with each one focusing on a different area of your wedding planning, The High Street Bride's Guide tells you how you can have the glamorous gown, fabulous flowers and righteous rings along with all those other details you hadn't even thought about without breaking the bank.
By offering inspiring ideas and applying a think outside the box approach, this book will enable you to create things you never thought were possible and allow you to not only have your wedding but also enjoy it.
Written not only for brides but for anyone who may be involved in wedding planning, The High Street Bride's Guide is filled with passion and ideas that can really be put into practice. Even if you don't follow everything to the letter but just select one or two of the suggestions featured in this book, then it may just mean a few extra pennies towards that honeymoon or house deposit.
Our favorite tip - When looking for THE DRESS, head to THEOUTNET. Having never heard of it before, we had to check it out and couldn't believe what we found. Select dresses from the clothing drop down menu and filter by wedding. Our favourite find at the time of writing is a Badgley Mischka dress reduced by a whopping 65% from £900.00 to just £315.00!
